Sales Presentations Training

I saw a rerun of the movie Hitch the other night and couldn’t help but laugh at the similarities between the movie and the Presentations Training we do with clients. You remember Will Smith, the dashing, articulate and persuasive character? The one who could take a very hopeless Albert Breneman and turn him into one fine ladies man!

Albert’s ultimate goal is the beautiful Allegra Cole. Your ultimate goal is to persuade an audience or committee to an action favorable to you-and that’s where we come in. When we work with clients on their presentation skills it reminds me a lot of Hitch coaching Albert on how to dance at the big party with Allegra-remember how awful Albert was dancing? Hitch had to slap him and retrain him. When we video tape clients -they can see all the bad habits they have developed. They see with great clarity how it takes away from a great presentation. After more presentations training we video tape them a second time and they are able to see a marked improvement. Albert thought he was a great dancer and many people think they give a compelling and articulate presentation.
